AI Transformation
Strategy first, AI second.
OUR APPROACH
AI is a leadership topic.
AI changes how decisions are made, how teams work and which roles a company needs. That makes AI transformation a leadership topic, not an isolated tech project.
We start with the overall strategy and the role AI should play in it, and break it down into the areas that face the customer, such as marketing, sales and product.
Because AI changes roles and ways of working, the organisation has to move with it: leadership, structures and collaboration.
Throughout, we bring people along. New tools and ways of working only stick when they fit the culture and grow within the teams.

Across all three: people empowerment
Bringing people along, so new ways of working fit the culture and grow within the teams.
STEP 03 IN DETAIL: APPLIED AI
From use case to everyday work.
Applied AI is the hands-on part of AI transformation: turning priorities into solutions people actually use, step by step.
Understand the reality
Initiatives, tools, skills, maturity and workflows, mapped against the strategy.
Focus the potential
Use cases derived from business goals and real workflows, not from individual tools.
Build and test
Prioritised use cases built as prototypes, workflows, automations or agents.
Anchor it
Integrated into systems and daily work, so teams can use and develop it themselves.
Not every idea becomes a use case, and not every use case needs a new tool.
More on how we do this
We look at three levels: everyday AI for the whole team, expert AI with deep value in one function, and breakthrough AI that recent technology has only just made possible.
For expert cases there is no one-size-fits-all, so we use a method that decodes how a company is organized and what its workflows and tasks really look like. We weigh the available tools and AI ecosystems, which differ in scope and data protection.
Our portfolio covers AI prototyping, workflow engineering, automation and agents, and enablement and adoption. The goal is a first visible effect, and the ability to keep developing AI independently.
WHAT COUNTS
Every use case pays into a goal.
Use cases are not an end in themselves. Whether one is worth it shows in five criteria, each with an example of the kind of use case behind it.
- EfficiencyDoes the same result take less time, cost and effort?Example: demand forecasts plan stock and replenishment per location. Fewer returns, better availability.
- ProductivityDo we achieve more, and better, with the same resources?Example: marketing content drafted in the brand’s tone and refined by people. Content in hours instead of weeks.
- Value creationCan we do things that weren’t possible before?Example: a customer digital twin challenges campaigns, ranges and copy before they go live.
- Employee satisfactionDo people work more capably and confidently, and do they actually use it?Example: a knowledge search answers questions from manuals and policies, with sources. Less searching, more advising.
- Customer satisfactionDo customers notice the difference?Example: a service assistant answers around the clock and hands complex cases to the team with context.
The same criteria the whole company is measured by. AI only amplifies them.
Every use case runs within clear guardrails for data protection, compliance and trust.
IN PRACTICE
We test before we recommend.
Over the years, we’ve tried hundreds of tools and built our own applications, prototypes and demos, always as a complement to strategic thinking.
With clients, we’ve derived AI strategies and designed target pictures, run Applied AI workshops and developed concepts like the Virtual Customer. Some of it has become products of our own, such as our AI-enhanced Brand Key. And internally, a lot of our work runs on automations and agents across different environments.
We’re happy to share more cases, ideas and creative approaches.
LOOKING AHEAD
We see early what’s coming.
Our book 12 Management Realities, our Discovery Tours and the 1000 Vordenker network keep us close to what is changing in management and technology. That view flows straight into strategies and projects.
Let’s define the next step together.
